Rockville, MD – Monday, July 12, 2019 – DC5G 2019 announces President and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® Gary Shapiro as the closing keynote speaker on Tuesday, November 5th at 1:00 PM. Shapiro will address 5G-enabled capabilities and benefits of innovation on the U.S. economy.
As the leader of CTA, the U.S. trade association representing more than 2,200 consumer technology companies, Shapiro has been a tireless advocate for innovation as a national policy to spur the economy, create jobs and cut the deficit. From testifying before Congress dozens of times, to leading the industry through its successful transition to HDTV, to being named one of the top lobbyists in Washington, D.C., and authoring three best-selling books, Shapiro has helped direct policymakers and business leaders on the importance of innovation in the U.S. economy.
Shapiro brings his enthusiasm for technology innovation to DC5G 2019, where speakers and keynoters will lay the groundwork for 5G, the next generation of networks fueling innovation in the U.S. Shapiro will discuss how successful companies are preparing for the future and evolving with the rapid pace of digital disruption, allowing attendees to use this valuable insight to build their own 5G Action Plans.
